Introduction

The general terms and conditions of sale detailed below only govern the contractual relationship between the User (hereafter referred to as You) and the trader the baby chef Ltd (hereafter referred to as We) belonging to the company the baby chef Ltd, whose business is situated at The Manor 7 Simmonds Crescent Lower Early READING RG6 3WF.

The Baby Chef is registered at Companies House in the UK under the following number 07087776. Both parties accept these conditions unreservedly. These general conditions of sale are the only conditions that are applicable and replace all other conditions, except in the case of express, written prior dispensation.

We maintain that, by confirming your order, you unreservedly accept our general conditions of sale, having read them. The sales Terms and Conditions below are important to you and the baby chef Ltd as they have been designed to protect your rights as a valued customer and to protect our rights as a business and to create an understanding between us.

Ordering

You may order our product in the following 2 ways:

Via our website www.thebabychef.co.uk (24 hours a day and 7 days a week)
Send us an email and we’ll call you back so we can place the order over the phone

The ordering process consists of four (4) easy steps.

Once you’ve decided to purchase our product, and have confirmed your basket, you must provide some personal information like your address for the delivery method
You must then accept the general sales Terms and Conditions of sale by ticking the box
You will then be asked to select your method of payment
Finally, once you have chosen your method of payment, you must pay for your order, which legally finalises the purchase agreement made with the baby chef Ltd

Prices

The prices indicated on the Site are in Pounds Sterling and do not include Value Added Tax (VAT) In addition the price will not include delivery. The chosen possible delivery costs are indicated for the User during the product selection and are invoiced at the end of the order in addition to the price of the product/s.

We reserve the right to modify our prices at any moment but will apply the current rates as indicated to you on the site at the time the order was placed.

Availability

Please note that we will honour your order while stock is available. In the unlikely event where the product/s ordered is not in stock, we will contact you in less than 5 days as of your order date to inform you how long it will be before we are able to deliver your product/s

Delivery methods

The product/s bought on the Site will be delivered to your designated address in mainland UK via the Royal Mail. In the event where you want your goods delivered to another country we will advise the shipping costs at the time of checkout. Your order will be delivered to the address you indicated when you place your order.

Standard Delivery

Items will be shipped via The Royal Mail as the standard option with 48-72hr delivery.

Express Delivery

This method of delivery allows you to receive your package in 24 to 48 hours via DHL. When you place your order before 10 am, it will be handled the on same day if the product was indicated as being in stock on the site.

The shipping fees for this option will depend on the location to be shipped. If you choose this method of delivery, payment upon delivery cannot be accepted.

Please note that, since DHL does not deliver on weekends, if your order is placed on a Friday it will be delivered to you on the following Tuesday, provided that your product is in stock.

Right of Retraction

Satisfied or your money back

The Baby Chef Ltd allows you 15 days to return a product that you are not satisfied with. Your right of retraction starts from the moment your order is delivered. You can return the product within this time period, at your own expense, accompanied by a copy of your invoice so we can trace the order back.

We request that you send us the merchandise by registered post and that you purchase insurance with the carrier for the value of the merchandise. This is notably necessary should they lose or damage the goods. Shipping fees remain the customer’s responsibility.

The present right of return only applies to products that are returned in their original, complete working condition (with all packaging and accessories). Any product that has been damaged, or is not in its original packaging, or has packaging that has been worn beyond simply opening the product, will not be refunded.

Intellectual ownership

All the content on the baby chef site (illustrations, texts, names, brand names, images and videos) is the property of the baby chef Ltd. Any partial or total reproduction of this content, by any means and on any support, is subject to prior and express authorisation by the baby chef Ltd. All information, content, files and software offered by our services is or will soon be protected by UK and International law concerning intellectual ownership and copyright.

The Baby Chef Ltd cannot give you the right to copy, display or distribute content that you do not have the intellectual rights to. All fraudulent use of this content that violates the rights held by a third party constitutes an offence of forgery, which is severely punished under the Intellectual Property Code.

In addition the baby chef Ltd will not, under any circumstances, be held responsible if a user violates rights held by a third party through his or her activities on the site.
